Suffolk offers plenty of offers plenty of half term events for children ranging from stadium tours to Valentine Day Family walks. Children can even be a farmer at Jimmy’s Farm and even help make a willow house. It’s a great way to meet a variety of animals including guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep and pigs. You will need to make prior reservations for this one though. Only children above the age of 6 are recruited and the rates are 7.50 per child. The Ickworth House, Park and Gardens are another famed half term precinct which offers a diverse range of courses. The RSPB Minsmere offers a plethora of children’s programme conducted by trained personnel. All of the events are closely supervised to prevent any mishaps .Pre-booking is highly recommended and the children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The events include Nest box Week where children get to explore on the themes of nets and nest boxes.

Puppet Workshop begins with a puppet show and then later a workshop which teaches your kids how to craft their own puppets to take home. Asington Mill offers a mix of numerous mini courses during the half-term. Courses include story telling, hen keeping, straw bale building, beekeeping for beginners and plenty more. The courses are conducted in a quaint straw bale building in an expansive 69 acre farm which is actually a private owned nature reserve. Other courses on offer are a day on the badgers, Bushcraft, Dowsing for beginners and Coracle making. No matter what you are looking for, you are bound to find something new and interesting at Assington Mill. The more adventurous kind could try out clay pigeon shooting at the Fulton Shooting club, they offer beginner lessons for complete novices and also intermediate tactic brush up sessions for the advanced shooters.

Children can also go on a gruesome tour of the Graves at the legendary Sutton Hoo, National Trust. The seats for this one sells off like hot cakes and the booking starts only on the day of the tour, so you’ll have to be pretty quick. Of course children have to be accompanied by at least one adult. RSPB minsmere arranges a Valentine’s Day family tour through the lake shore in search of early signs of spring. Children who are into sports and other outdoor activities can go on a behind scenes tour of the stunning new Wembley Stadium. The highlight of the tour include trip to Player’s warm up zone, VIP reception area, England’s changing rooms, the Royal Box, the Bobby Moore Statue, Dugouts, Post-match interview area and the Press conference rooms. The price however is a little on the higher side with 30 for a child. The child will also have to be of minimum 7 yrs of age to be allowed admittance. A coach will depart from the stadium premises to collect all the kids the details of which will be given in your confirmation letter. The tour is fully supervised Drop and Go event and the premises are strictly Parents Free Zone.
